Two For The Show

This DVD represents the gig “Two for the show” (named after the famous line of Carl Perkins) which occurred in the Central House of Artists in Moscow on March 31, 2005. The DVD (vol.I) features the bluesmen from Belgrade, Pera Joe (harp) and Vladan Stanoshevich (guitar) playing with CHERNII KHLEB (Dr. Agranovsky - vocals & ac. guitar, Omar Itcovici – guitar, Mikhail Olshanitsky - keyboards, Valery Seregin - bass, Nikolai Balakirev - drums). Doctor met Pera Joe in Moscow, then played with his band at the Voxstock-2004 blues festival in Belgrade, and then invited Pera and Stan to Moscow again. Russian-Serbian friendship set up on the love to American root music... But this whole world is weird, isn't it?

Pera Joe, born in 1961 in Krushevac (Yugoslavia), in his 19 became a pioneer of Balkan blues. Apart from records and concerts of his own, he has taken part in uncountable session records and jams with pop, rock, and blues musicians, including the blues legends like Louisiana Red, John Hammond, Sugar Blue, Bob Geldoff, Sam Mitchell. Pera Joe, as a referee, participates in the work of a reputable international harmonica festival in Trossingen (Germany). Vladan “Stano” Stanoshevich, born in 1964 in Belgrade, plays blues guitar since 1984, with the last 17 years dedicated to Raw Hide, the best blues band of Belgrade (not counting Pera Joe Blues Band).
