Вспомним ещё раз, что Гися (старшая сестра Абрама) и её муж Хаим Этерман взяли под опеку моего отца и его младшего брата после ареста родителей в 37-м году. Это был мужественный поступок - Гися и Хаим были вынуждены уволиться с работы. На фото - их сын Израиль Ефимович Этерман (род. 15 сентября 1921 г.), двоюродный брат моего отца и его друг с детских лет. Участник обороны Ленинграда, московский адвокат, тонкий рассказчик, певец и гитарист-семиструнщик. Через него тянутся нити от старших Аграновских к нам с братом. У него мы учились петь и играть на гитаре, но разве ж только этому. Не перечислить всего добра, которое он дал и дает нам. Это так важно сейчас, когда отца уже нет. Многие фотографии и детали истории Аграновских, приведенные здесь, я получил от него. Izrail Efimovich Eterman (son of Gisya Agranovsky, my step uncle, guitar and life teacher) - and me. This foto was shot in 1994 but the story goes back to 1937, when my father's parents were arrested, and Gisya and Khaim Eterman took the guardianship over the children. "Uncle Izya", the son of Gisya Davidovna, was a friend of the father since childhood (he was born in Sep 15, 1921). He was a participant in the defense of Leningrad and a Moscow attorney in the past. He is a fine raconteur, a singer and the seven-string guitar player. The threads of the older Agranovskiis extend through him to my brother and myself. Through him we learned to sing and play guitar, but that’s not the half of it. I can’t list all the good things that he has done, and continues to do for us. This is so important now that our father has passed away. He gave me many photographs and supplied lots of details about the Agranovskii family — some of which are referred to here.
